Following a painful breakup, successful lobbyist Leah Vaughn (Sanaa Lathan) buries herself in her work until she meets a charming stranger named Carter (Michael Ealy) who works in ‘corporate espionage’. The two of them hit it off right away and start a passionate relationship. He is gallant, polite, sweet… in short, the perfect guy. That is, until he nearly beats a guy to a bloody pulp just for talking to Leah.

Leah decides it’s for the best to take a little distance from the dude. That of course doesn’t sit well with Carter, who unleashes his inner psycho by hacking her phone and computer, making her cat disappear,… Anyway, you know the drill. You’ve seen this movie a hundred times before. I’m willing to bet though the script wasn’t as clumsily written back then. At some points in the movie, you can practically see the lead actors squirm as they wrestle through another awkward scene.

TV movie at best.
