Besides Bat Boy, Asian Man Records is releasing another 7” by a new band that features one of Spraynard’s members. Big Nothing is Pat Graham on guitar alongside Matt Quinn (who played with Ed from Beach Slang in Crybaby), Casual’s Liz Parsons on bass and Young Livers’ Chris Jordan on drums. Oh, and they all share vocals. That’s a lot of awesomeness for one band and it shows.

Opening track “Cincinatti” immediately tells you what you’re in for… riffy punkrock with big hooks that will make you think of Superchunk as much as The Get Up Kids and… well, Spraynard. Their self-titled debut basically sounds like four friends starting a band for all the right reasons and having a great time.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
