Brief Lives is a new name for me but on their new 2-song 7” they get the job done with their particular brand of abrasive post-hardcore. The title track comes with a sense of melody that will make you say ‘yes, melody but not as we know it’. In gruff vocals of course that are in accordance with the gritty Dischord atmosphere wipt up by Brief Lives. They step on the gas in “No Voice” but slow down throughout the song as if to make sure they leave no man behind. Solid 7”!
