Chandeli’ers is a new band out of Brooklyn featuring members of Ringers, Besties and World Inferno/Friendship Society. When combined, they like to crank out summery jams that are as big on power as they are on pop.

Working your way through the album’s eleven tracks, you’ll be reminded of greats like Elvis Costello, The Clash and Bruce Springsteen. All of the band’s songs are upbeat, come with alternating male and female vocals and are seasoned with royal wallops of organ and horns. Oh, and solid hooks. Can’t do power-pop without some of those.

Original? Not really. But “Breaker” sure is a lot of fun.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
