A little over a year after their debut album “Hello Hello”, Portland’s Divers are at it again with a new 2-song 7”.

“Achin’ On” finds the band preaching from the Springsteen/Replacements/Elvis Costello gospel. It’s a highly enjoyable slab of punk rock that is as energetic and jumpy as it is catchy and addictive. Next up is “Can’t Do That”, originally by fellow Portlandians Dead Moon that sees Divers take it all the way down to near whispers, before kicking the door wide open towards the end.

It’s a cliché to say this about a 2-song release, but I really wish there was more!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
