Trenton, NJ’s Honah Lee are back with a new album called “33 on 45”, a reference to the band’s tendency to play their songs fast as fuck during live shows. Not that the songs are Mariah-Carey-ballad slow on the album… check out “The Accomodator” or “You Should Stay” for some serious speed. But don’t skip past opening track “Time Flies”, which gets to kick things off with some solid hooks and a catchy chorus to boot. The same can be said for “Party Goggles”.

“R2DIM2” and “Hey Angel” on the other hand don’t quite measure up to the rest of the songs on here but luckily Honah Lee redeem themselves with “Sobered, So Bored!”, arguably one of the finest tracks on the album. With the energy of a young punkrock band and the melodic sensibilities of Weezer, these guys make sure “33 On 45” is a fun album that clocks in at just under half an hour and one that doesn’t wear out its welcome.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
