“Days Of The Fallen Sun” sees Junius reunited with producer Will Benoit, who was also fiddling the knobs on the band’s first releases. Together they laid down some of the most impressive tunes Junius has dished out so far and if you’ve heard any of the band’s previous albums, you know that’s saying something.

Throughout four songs, the doomy guitars and synths are battling pummeling drums while vocalist Joseph E. Martinez’ clean voice soars above it all, making every line sound like it’s of the utmost importance for the future of the human race. Yes, it’s a bit theatrical but it works well for these guys. I’m not sure what the ambient interludes are about because they don’t add a single thing to the EP but hey, who cares when the other songs are this good!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
