Mrs Skannotto is a Third Wave ska band that has been around since 1998. “All These Evolutions” is already the band’s seventh studio release yet I had never heard of this Rochester, NY based outfit. So what did I miss out on exactly?

All of the elements one usually associates with ska punk are present and accounted for, including plenty of horn action, the upbeat rhythms, some reggae parts,… It’s pretty well done but the songs all blur into one another after a while without leaving much of a lasting impression.

Only for those of you who already have all the albums by Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, Big D & The Kids Table, Reel Big Fish and the likes and still feel like you could do with some more horns.
