For their latest album, No Age turned it all inside out. Whereas their previous album were filled with noise, shrieking guitars and were fast as fuck, this time around they went with less is more. As a result you get a lot of messing around with muted drums, droning bass lines and bored vocals.

Basically they left out everything that makes a song exciting and ended up making an album that sounds like it was made by a couple of dudes who were walking around stoned out of their minds and stumbled across some instruments. I’m sure it’s some sort of statement that they’re making but the songs on “An Object” made me lethargic to the point of not bothering to figure it out.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
