There was a bit of mystery surrounding the new band Peace’d Out. Who the hell were those guys? Turns out this is a side-project consisting of Steve Choi (RX Bandits), Vinnie Caruana (The Movielife, I Am The Avalanche), Casey Deitz (The Velvet Teen) and last but not least, Roger Camero (No Motiv).

With five songs delivered in just under twelve minutes, Peace’d Out doesn’t waste time exchanging the kind of pleasantries one usually associates with an introduction. Frenetic rhythms, mathy riffs and coarse screams are slung your way from the get-go, allowing the band to pay tribute to acts such as Botch or Deadguy while they’re at it. At the same time they’re looking with one eye towards the future, incorporating electronic bleeps that add even more tension to Peace’d Out’s material.

If you’re looking for mellow tunes, Peace’d Out is not for you. If you would like to know how it feels to have a seizure while you feel destroying shit, then hey… I’ve got just the album for you!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
