Rude Awakening (or simply RA) is not about taking prisoners and if there are any victims, then well… you can just chalk them up as “Collateral Damage”. Armed with punishing riffs and pummeling drums, these guys are laying down hardcore law the way Madball does it.

Opener “Progression Through Aggression” is a fitting introduction to RA clocking in at just over a minute. It’s direct, hits you hard and wastes no time in getting to the point. Which can be said about pretty much every song on the band’s Bridge 9 debut. If you’re into the likes of Terror and Backtrack, you can safely add this one to your collection. Because even if they are not exactly adding anything new to the genre, they are well versed in beating you over the head with relentless blasts of hardcore.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
