Save Your Breath is a Welsh band that chose its name well with the next song always seeming to be even more fun to sing along to. “There Used To Be A Place For Us” is filled with pop-punk anthems that linger comfortably between bands like The Wonder Years and New Found Glory.

It’s like listening to a crossbreed of everything you like about the genre… they have the energy, it’s all up-beat, it’s catchy as fuck and it’s just a lot of fun to listen to. I read somewhere that growing up these guys didn’t have a lot to do and had the choice between going down the wrong road or playing music. Lucky for us they didn’t choose to shag sheep (at least I think that is what they meant by the first option) and went with music instead. Songs like “Lessons”, “Maps” and “Find A Way” are a treat to listen to and while Save Your Breath might not have the most original sound out there, they have the formula for writing a slick pop-punk song down pat.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
