Silverstein is still going at it and recently released “This Is How The Wind Shifts”, already their sixth studio album. When they first started out, you’d see their name plastered all over the place but since then it seems they’ve slipped out of the limelight a little. Which is weird because even if I’ve outgrown the whole screamo thing, there’s no denying these guys are good at what they do.

“This Is How The Wind Shifts” apparently is something of a concept album where songs are paired up and tell the same story from a different perspective but seeing as I don’t have the whole day, I didn’t really bother to go looking for which songs went together.

Musically, things are as tight as ever and the way the heavier parts flow into singalong choruses is just seamless. It all just adds up to yet another solid Silverstein album, albeit one without any surprises.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
