Today the festival announced another 15 bands from next year’s line-up! Over 60 bands will be playing across the weekend. You can read the official feed below!

Before a recent FC United game we decided to record some idiots taking Dizzy penalties to announce the latest bunch of bands playing Manchester Punk Festival. You can either watch the video below to find out who is playing or read on... 

First up we are very excited to announce that legendary Canadian four-piece the Flatliners are playing MPF2016. On Fat Wreck Chords they are playing one of only a handful of UK shows in 2016 at MPF. Punk rock played at a breakneck pace with a back catalogue of three incredible albums, as good as any.

With a history that spans well over 20 years, Citizen Fish combine a perfect combination of ska, punk and reggae that is well respected and loved on the UK scene. Their use of intelligent and honest lyrics is second to none. Dance to the sound of England.

After arguably the performance of 2015 at Dirty Weekend, it was never in doubt we would ask the Grand Collapse boys to join us for the festival. Loud, fast, political thrash punk residing in Cardiff & Bristol. Their album 'Far From The Callous Crowd' will tell you all you need to know.

Liverpool’s Down and Outs have been playing their distinctive brand of melodic punk rock for over a decade now. They have released four anthemic and sing-a-long albums in that time and shared a stage with many of the biggest names in the genre. After a brief hiatus they are gigging again and working on new material.

Roughneck Riot are proof that hard work really does pay off. A staple of the UK punk scene for a long time now, they deliver every time they play. Their unique style of folk punk gets everyone moving within the first song. They are from Warrington though, no one is perfect. Latest release 'Out Of Anger' is available on TNSrecords.

Autonomads are the best band to come out of Manchester, we are really pleased to welcome one of our favourites on to the line up. They've played all over Europe in every kind of venue and their blend of dub, punk and ska became the sound of a generation in Manchester. The small number of shows they are able to do at the minute means you need to be at the front for this one.

Astpai are one of the hardest working and underrated bands around. Propaghandi meets The Flatliners all the way from Austria, one of only three UK shows in 2016! We also have Sam Russo who is a firm Manchester favourite, so much more than the singer/songwriter label. Heartbreaking songs, told in the most intimate of ways, but delivered live in the most charming of fashions!

Zatopeks formed in 2001 and previously on the legendary Household Name label, Zatopeks are back gigging and writing new music. They play an upbeat and catchy brand of pop-punk, which will have the whole festival dancing.

The finest human to ever come out of Bradford. Captain Hotknives publicly mocks slugs, steals from his Nana, promotes the use of sputty hotknives and hangs around with racist animals BUT he likes 2Unlimited, that's all we need. If MPF2015 is anything to go by get to the acoustic stage early to make sure you get in the room.

 Wadeye are one of the more visually traumatising bands on the line up, all we can really do is apologise for the nightmares you will suffer after seeing them. It could be positive but more likely it won't be. Either way it will change your life.#wadeyeizmanc

This Wigan 2 piece have the spent the last 12 months cementing themselves as one of the best live bands around. Beautiful singer and out of shape drummer playing tunes that will ultimately blow your head off. Riggots are an experience not to miss! Buy their debut album 'In Joke', it's one of the best of 2015.

Paper Wings are UK's answer to Defiance Ohio! Their members are in more bands than we can remember and it only emphasises the important part they play in the Liverpool punk scene. They are young, energetic and full of love!

We have to come to realise that Don Blake might be the nicest band in punk rock. Professional performances and a spot on attitude towards all of their shows, it's great to have them on board for 2016. They'll be bringing a pop punk element to the festival straight from Bolton.

 The 2nd part of our small Italian influence this year, we are welcoming The Memory over from Termoli. An energetic, fast hardcore band that we are excited as fuck to see live. Check out their latest release 'Bridges' to find out what you're in store for.
