The Swedish guys that make up Adept know what metalcore should sound like… you gotta hand them that at least. Everything you expect to hear on a metalcore album is present and accounted for. There’s room for shredding as well as more atmospheric riffs, pounding drums, pummeling breakdowns, screams, clean vocals and even gang vocals. Sometimes it’s even all stuffed into one and the same song.

The band’s biggest problem is that they don’t know how to add anything new to the genre and end up sounding like the umpteenth band doing the same thing. The result is a satisfying metalcore album for those of you who are still waiting for something like that.
