Again For The Win is a Texas-based band who just released “We’ve Been Here Forever”. They know how to play their instruments and like to play around with tension… I have to give them that. But other than that the songs on here just plod along without ever going anywhere with the band using every trick in the emo manual. The earnest and emotionally laden vocals, the gently stroked guitars, the tricky time signatures… it’s all present and accounted. Yet somehow it doesn’t quite come together and does not engage at all.
