On their Fat Wreck debut, the four ladies that make up Bad Cop / Bad Cop rip through four slices of pop-punk that come with catchy hooks, fast-paced rhythms and lyrics about standing up for yourself and not taking shit from anyone. Oh, and don’t forget the 3-part harmonies! Anyway, that’s real girl power for you.

Myra Gallarza (drums), Rinh Re (bass), Jennie Cotterill (guitar and vocals) and Stacey Dee (guitar and vocals) don’t need foam fingers, leaked sex tapes or dresses made out of meat to get noticed. They just crank up their amps and blast through songs like “My Life” and “Asshole”, two titles that are pretty self-explanatory. Basically, all four tracks on here are just catchy and energetic as hell and if they are anything to go by, then I’m already seriously looking forward to the full-length that will be out later this year!
