Brighton’s Bar Stool Preachers have provided us with a soundtrack to the apocalypse. Short soundtrack though. I think this is week six of sitting around at home, so just two songs aren’t much of a soundtrack per se, but they did manage to plaster a smile all over my face.
The poppy ‘When This World Ends’ is a driving tune that checks all the boxes. Shiny melodies, catchy chorus and more sha-la-la’s than you can shake a stick at. And ‘State Of Emergency’ shuffles along in the smoothest of ways with a rocksteady beat.
And as if two solid songs aren’t enough for you, then maybe two free songs are. That’s right, you can pick up this EP for free or donate some money with part of the proceeds going to NHS Charities, a charity that helps healthcare workers and their families.
