Ever found yourself lying awake at night, tossing and turning feverishly after an evening of being unable to choose between listening to the Sonic Avenues or First Base? Well, never again. Members of these two fine Canadian bands have come together under the Brat Kings moniker to release an album called “Hypnopedia”.

They touch upon subjects like coffins (“Coffins”), kittens (“Kittens”) and moths (“Moths”) in explosive blasts of garage-y punk that race towards the finish line like there’s a medal in it for them. Spoiler alert: there isn’t. They’ll be lucky to end up with a Tim Hortons coupon that will get them a free coffee. I’d be happy to buy them a donut to go along with that though. It’s the least I can do to thank them for an album that is this much fun to listen to.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
