Hailing from the college town of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Brave Bird are three dudes that play emo music… the kind that was good before it got all watered down and then turned into something else altogether. “Maybe You, No One Else Worth It” comes with some weird noodling riffs (e.g. “Healthy”), off-beat vocals that linger between singing and screaming. It sounds messy at times and it is… but it’s more of a glorious mess than anything else.

At first the only one who sounds confident is the drummer. But if you stick with it, you’ll get to discover a wonderfully endearing album that reminded me of Brand New as well as This Town Needs Guns.
