One of the latest pop-punk bands to emerge from the UK’s seemingly fertile grounds, is Aberdeen’s Campfires. On their self-titled EP these dudes hit all the right notes in tunes like opening track “Same Streets” and “Like A Cancer”. Those notes also sound kinda familiar though, which is pretty much the only problem you could have with them. Well, that and the instrumental bonus track, which doesn’t add much of anything.

They do however have plenty of enthusiasm and big choruses, both of which are guaranteed to win you over if you’re into Neck Deep and the likes.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
