Not a big fan of hot dad calendars personally, but I am liking the hell out of this 7”! Following up their 3-song demo, Philly’s Cayetana are back with a remastered version of demo song “Ella” and a brand spanking new track called “Hot Dad Calendar”.

You could call this laid-back pop-punk. Kelly Olsen like to bang on her drums while bassist Allegra Anka rumbles her way through the songs, lending the tracks a nice snappy sound. And then there’s vocalist/guitarist Augusta Koch who manages to sound vulnerable and powerful at the same time. The same can be said for both songs, which sound delightfully cute and come with nice fuzzed up guitars, kickass melodies and a nice loose sound.

I have one huge issue with this band though… why are there only four songs of them out at the moment? I demand more dammit!
