Colorsfade is a Quebec-based skate punk outfit that will kick your ass with “Scream In Silence”. Granted, it’s just three songs long, but that’s all the time these dudes need to get the job done.

Opening track “I4NI” is one hell of an introduction with drums that race off in the sunset with the rest of the band hanging on for dear life while still pulling off great riffs and solid vocal harmonies. “Frozen In Time” is up next and it’s equally fast, melodic and tight with solid riffage throughout the song. Fans of earlier Strung Out should take notice. Rounding out “Scream In Silence”, is a cover of the Littlest Hobo theme song by Terry Bush. Sounds fun enough and it’s probably even better if you know the show, but I’m kinda digging their original tunes better.

Having never heard of Colorsfade before, “Scream In Silence” was definitely a nice surprise. Fans of fast and highly contagious skate punk would be wise to check these guys out.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
