From the UK comes Continents, a relatively young band that has been around for just three years. “Idle Hands” is the name of their debut and it shows off their metallic take on hardcore which seems to exist of little more than breakdowns stringed together with a couple of more appealing melodic parts in songs like “Inhale” and “Land Of The Free”.

It’s not that this album has no redeeming value whatsoever but the songs on here feel more like parts that are put one after the other, rather than feeling like actual songs. Add a formulaic approach to their songwriting and a vocalist whose bark is kinda monotonous and you’re looking at a hardcore album that is hopefully not one of the best 2013 has to offer.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
