From Chicago comes Dead Ending, a band fronted by Vic Bondi (of Articles of Faith notoriety) who is backed by Rise Against’s Joe Principe, Alkaline Trio’s Derek Grant and All Eyes West’s Jeff Dean. On their third release - the aptly titled “DE III” – they race through five fast-paced songs with plenty of mean barks and an overall 80ies hardcore vibe. As if this line-up alone isn’t enough yet, there are also guest vocals of Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers) and Jeff Pezzati (Naked Raygun).
Unfortunately it’s already all over after barely eight minutes but there is good news because a little birdy bulldog told me that a full-length is already in the works. If you’re into old school hardcore with a new school production job, then you are most likely to dig this!
Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
