Album Reviews
Since their last release, Boston’s Great Lakes USA have a new addition to their line-up in the form of No Trigger guitarist Mike Przygoda. And listening to the six new songs that make up “Stumbling Distance”, they are apparently out to kick your ass even harder than on 2012’s “Live Fast, Die Whenever”.
If you are looking for short blasts of unadulterated hardcore fury, feel free to check out opening track “The Best Band At O’Brien’s” or “Crows”. And if poppy is more your thing, then make sure and give “Aim So Low” a listen. Easily one of the band’s most catchy songs to date.
Doesn’t really matter which song you end up with, they’re all solid in their own right and serve as an excellent reminder how aggression and melody can work well together.
