Fire The Cannons

These guys were first called the Temporary Disruption of Bodily Rhythms Caused By High-Speed Travel Twins but then decided that Jet Lag Gemini was a slightly catchier title. I have no idea what is up with the band name but I can tell you that these New Jersey youngsters know how to write a catchy song.
“Fire The Cannons” is just one big hook-laden album with more treats than your grandma when you go to visit her. If you don’t, please do. It’s a small effort and you’ll make her the happiest person in the world. Remember, any day can be her last! Anyway, this album is poppy yet has a hard rockin’ edge and cool solos which keep it from becoming too cheesy. Think of a more ballsy All-American Rejects, then pick up on the “November Rain” vibe in “Stepping Stone” only to then fall in love with the album. I’m pretty positive we’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys in 2008!
