Detroit’s The Koffin Kats are back with their diesel-fueled take on psychobilly. “Born Of The Motor” is already the band’s seventh full-length and by now they are one well-oiled machine. The stand-up bass gets slapped relentlessly from the get-go, the guitars purr like the engine of a new car that just rolled off of a now vacant Detroit factory line and Vic Victor’s vocals come with that haunting quality that we know from bands like Nekromantix.

These guys aren’t reinventing psychobilly here but some things just never go out of style. Vroom vroom!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
