Rarely has there been a punk album with a title that rings more true than The Manicdotes’ new EP. Featuring four brand spanking new tracks by the Phoenix, Arizona based band, ‘All Cats Are Beautiful’ finds the band getting the job done in just 8 minutes, sounding not unlike The Queers one minute and NOFX the next  with some Dead Milkmen shining through as well. Kudos to the band on not just having a song called ‘Nurse Catloaf’s Guide To Cat Husbandry,’ but also making it sound great.

The Manicdotes aren’t reinventing the wheel on ‘All Cats Are Beautiful’, but they made the last ten minutes decidedly less dull.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
