Well, it looks like there is no ‘Bon Voyage’ to be had any time in the near future, but at least we now have this new EP by Mikey Erg. Also known as the man who has been a part of every punk rock band known to mankind.
Whereas his recently released solo album ‘Waxbuilt Castles’, was Erg’s tribute to Paul McCartney’s first record, ‘Bon Voyage’ comes with four short blasts of the classic pop-punk variety. Nothing on here comes across as overwrought. Just four tasty cuts worth of wildly buzzing guitars and great melodies that are over and done with in nine minutes and leave you wanting more.
