Initially intended as a free bonus download exclusive to pre-orders of last year’s “Maps & Companions”, “How To Throw A Successful Party” is now getting a release in its own right, making it the next one in a seemingly endless stream of releases by this Ohio-based pop-punk outfit.

Did you see the movie Juno? Remember the ending where the two main characters sing an acoustic version of Moldy Peaches’ “Anyone Else But You”? Well, that’s what this one sounds like… it’s just acoustic guitars and boy/girl vocals bouncing back and forth. It’s fun enough (“Noon – Protest Song” and “4PM - Stupid Famous Quotes” are especially cute) but it’s not exactly their best release to date.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
