Mrs. Magician is back at it barely a year after the release of “Strange Heaven”. “B-Sides” is exactly what its title implies and boasts 17 songs recorded during the creation of “Strange Heaven”. Yet whereas a lot of B-sides are exactly that and for good reason, these tracks could’ve just as well been featured on its predecessor.

Opener “Despicable Things” features everything I’ve come to love about these guys. The surf-rock influences are in full effect here as and as sunny as the melodies are, so self-deprecating the lyrics. The same can be said about “Guys In Cooler Bands”, “All My Friend Are Dying” and “I Hate Tour”, all of which are pretty self-explanatory. While these guys might hate touring, I’m hoping they’ll pass through town sometime soon!
