Three years after it was recorded, The Night Marchers finally released their second album. Not that this should come as a surprise. After all, John Reis has always done just what he felt like whether it was with Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Rocket From The Crypt,… want me to go on? And what exactly did you expect  from a guy who wrote a song called “Fisting The Fan Base”?

The Night Marchers sound like a combination of everything Reis has done up til now… the party atmosphere of RFTC, the urgency of Drive Like Jehu and the intensity of Hot Snakes. It’s all garage rock here that comes with plenty of power and slick melodies and a good sense of humor. Like the cowbell-enhance “All Hits” that comes with the line ‘Every word from my lips, every drop from my piss / It’s all hits!’.  And while I might risk the guy’s fist up my ass for saying this… he’s actually right because “Allez Allez” really is all hits!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
