The Danish duo The Raveonettes are back with some more of their sexy gloom. The new album is called “Observator” and finds them in a pretty good mood. Although a pretty good mood for them is still just a level above cutting your wrists while wearing a festive hat. But at least the song “Sinking With The Sun” has the word ‘sun’ in it and the piano that they introduce into their sound works wonders.

There are still plenty of fuzzed up guitars to go around as well and the duo’s harmonies sound better than ever. The result is one of The Raveonettes’ finest and most mesmerizing  albums to date, the kind that you want to hear when the sun is setting.
