Born from the ashes of defunct Buffalo act I Can See Mountains, Super American charges out the gate with the 5-song EP “Golf Pop”. And when I say ‘charges’, I actually mean ‘skips’. Because these tunes are just a helluva lot of fun to listen to and breezy as hell.

There’s just something about tracks like “Love To Hate”, the slightly darker “Charles Cheatham” and the power-pop bliss of “Airway”… they are catchy, but not in a let’s-shove-this-chorus-down-their-throats kinda way. Everything simply moves along in carefree fashion and it’s not hard to just go with the flow.

Lingering somewhere between pop-punk and power-pop, “Golf Pop” might not change life as we know it, but it will at the very least brighten up your day considerably.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
