Terrible Feelings already managed to surprise me with their EP a couple of months ago and have pulled it off again with “Shadows”, their debut full-length. They specialize in angsty tunes that are catchy as fuck and linger somewhere between power-pop, garage and surf rock. Deranged Records labels it as ’doomsday pop with punkrock roots’. Whatever you want to call it, fact is that songs like “Intruders” and “Darkness Of Man” are impossible to get out of your head.

There’s something about the way Manuela Iwansson brings all the doom and gloom of her lyrics over catchy, slick tunes that does me in completely. Kudos to these guys as well for not rehashing any tunes from previous 7”s, instead opting for a batch of all new songs.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
