After six years of mocking about, Manchester’s Throwing Stuff stopped throwing stuff around and got their shit together instead. This eventually led to their very first full-length “Fit, Fine & Well”, out now on TNS Records. It’s kinda weird though to talk about any kind of length when a band burns through 15 tracks in 23 minutes.

These guys play a fast and dirty kind of hardcore punk that has as much to do with Minor Threat as it does with Paint It Black. Throughout the album, things can go from having a good time (the group vocal at the end of opening track “Tacy Chapman” where they sing a sliver of one of Chapman’s biggest hits) to sheer fucking rage (“We Wrote This Song Before David Cameron Resigned”). “I Wish You Would Hibernate” takes things down to a crawl for a bit, but most of the time these dudes are fast and furious while still keeping a sense of humor about them. Did they reinvent the wheel here? Not really. But they did make a seriously badass album.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
