Too Tangled is a duo out of Ghent, Belgium that likes to play around with indie-rock and electro vibes. “Where The Echoes Die” is their second album and on it they channel The Kills and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and by extension, The Velvet Underground to end up with a murky, hazy sound inhabited by guitars, violin, keyboards and drumbeats.

They’ve got a good thing going on in songs like “Shuffle Baby” and “Magical Hands” but they know their way around an acoustic guitar as well as can be heard in “Passenger”. I’m not sure why they thought it was necessary to include a cover of “Eisbär” though. It’s not like their own songs aren’t good enough.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
