“Heaven’s Too Good For Us” is the debut full-length by Detroit’s straight edge crew True Love. After already making waves with their demo and an EP, both of which came out via React! Records, their Bridge Nine debut should make the buzz around the band as big as the album’s production, which comes courtesy of Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos).

Clocking in at under 20 minutes, “Heaven’s Too Good For Us” is short and fierce. Opening track “Piece For A Piece” and “Your Side” set the mood… these are fast-paced, aggressive tunes with gruff vocals, solid riffage and compact breakdowns in the right places. And while these guys did not make me want to give up my beers, they do get their message across throughout “Heaven’s Too Good For Us”, a solid hardcore blast that feels like a punch to the face.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
