Turkish Techno is back! Not the genre (if there is such a thing), but the Riverside, CA slackers. A measly five years after their 2011 full-length debut, they are back already with their second album (aptly titled “Number Two”) and well, it’s pretty solid.

“Number Two” comes with eleven songs’ worth of catchy hooks, big singalongs and the kind of self-deprecating lyrics that Off With Their Heads would approve of. If you are into Banner Pilot or The Copyrights, then cuts like opening track “Sprinkles” and “Life” will be right up your alley.

Oh, further research indicated that there is indeed such a thing as Turkish techno. After using Google in ways I’m sure it wasn’t meant to be used, I stumbled across this gem.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
