Heligan; a dynamic three-piece melodic hardcore/skate punk band hailing from Perth, Western Australia, showcases their immense talent with their latest single, "Gone", an aggressive and technical song highlighting the troubles of addiction and making change.
In the face of life's disruptions in early 2020, Miles Green, a gifted songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, retreated to his home studio, pouring his creative energies into crafting the music he craved but couldn't find. This marked the inception of Heligan, a band that fully materialized when Will Gordon (bass) and Sean McMurdo (drums) joined the fold, contributing their distinctive spices to the mix.
Heligan's distinctive sound blends melodic hardcore and skate punk, drawing from a diverse range of punk, progressive, rock, and metal influences. Their energetic infusion of hardcore punk merges with thrash metal-like riffs, blistering solos, and technical nuances reminiscent of progressive rock and metal music. The band takes its name from "The Lost Gardens of Heligan" in Cornwall, England, a place brimming with Miles' cherished childhood memories of wonder, mystery, and fascination—emotions he aspires to evoke through Heligan's music.
