10. Tom Hardy

Because Captain Boomerang was the best part of Suicide Squad.

9. Tom Selleck

Because Mustache.

8. Tom Hanks

Because he's genuinely a Great dude. He'd be higher on this list, but David S. Pumpkins.

7. Tom Holland

For making Spiderman Great again

6. Tommy Dasalo

Half of the comedy podcast The Little Dum Dum Club and one third of video game podcast Filthy Casuals. This dude's Hilarious, and I highly recommend his work. There are a lot of great people in the Australian comedy/podcasting scene, but this one's name is Tom, earning him a hard won place on this list.

5. Tom Petty

'Cause Duh.

4. Bill Stevenson's floor Tom.

A highly overlooked variable in the Descendents' overall greatness.

3. Tom Jones

Sir Tom Jones that is. Dude's 76 and still touring, still sounds amazing. He was in the Simpsons, and he was great in "Mars Attacks".

2. Tom Delonge

I heard "Damnit" on MTV2 for the first time like 20 years ago and thought it was Awesome. Then they stole Travis Barker from the Aquabats, effectively ruining 2 bands at the same time. But that's not what this is about. If you've been paying attention to Mr. Delonges activities of late, you're aware that he's on some weird UFO kick and has written a novel to that affect, and is apparently heavily involved with people "...at the highest levels of the Department of Defense and NASA and the military". He was among those whose emails to the Clinton campaign were leaked. Dude's lost it. It's great. We can only hope he decides the best way to spread the truth (which, I'm told, is out there) through pop-punk...or maybe his own show on the syfy network...or the History channel. Keep being weird dude.

1. Tom Dumarey

Tom is the guy who runs this site. If you've been paying attention, you've probably figured that out.

I got involved with Punk Rock Theory through Nathan Hennon, writer of such PRT Gems as (insert links to things Nate wrote here), and dude I started a punk band with in high school. Nate put me in touch with this rando belgian dude via email and after some initial back and forth, I proceeded to write about a third of what I was supposed to (I was never good with homework). I picked a few albums to review blindly, which resulted in two really generous reviews, through which I struggled to find something nice to say, and my review of No Parents' Greatest Hits. The former of which had me really questioning whether or not I was really up for this.

Through other unrelated events, I took a trip to europe for 3 weeks in June/July 2016. I've had the pleasure of meeting a bunch of european people through work and naturally made good on my promise to mooch a place to stay off many of them when I landed on their continent. The last day of that trip found me in Brussels. It would be the last day spent with my girlfriend before I had to come home and she continued her travels. I knew one person in Brussels, and I figured I'd ask Tom if he were up for a face to face meeting. He agreed and we met up in a square full of tourists (tourists, am I right?) This bearded normal looking dude rolled up and said "Chris?". After a thorough background check and TSA style interrogation, I confirmed his identity and followed him to, as he described it, Brussels' most important attraction. A statue of a baby pissing into a fountain. It was smaller than I expected, but I didn't hold it against him.

Having gotten that out of the way, we proceeded to take on the real most important attraction in Brussels. Beer. The first establishment at which we found ourselves featured the owners/workers having some sort of lovers quarrel, so we moved to the place next door. There, over what ended up being 6 or seven rounds of beer, we conversed about music, bitched about work, and got to know each other. At least as well as can be done in a single afternoon. Tom was laid back and unassuming, but punk as fuck in all the ways that count. He told me various stories of hanging out with bands and organizing shows and working on the site.

Punk Rock Theory is a labor of love for Tom, and it shows. If it were ever in my hands to run, it would probably burst into flames, killing and maming just about everyone on the internet. I do my best to write a review here and there on slow days at work, but let's face it, I'm not real great at keeping up on this. Tom writes and posts reviews more often than I fart, and that's really saying something. He also got my girlfriend and I drunk and showed us a great time in Brussels.

This Tom is Top Tier.

Thanks Tom.
