While Nothing Gold Can Stay might be a new name on the Belgian scene, the man behind it - Stijn Debontridder - has been active in the punk rock scene for over 20 years. Over the course of last year, he recorded a solo album with the help of some of Belgium’s finest punk rock (adjacent) musicians: Lode De Feyter (F.O.D.) on drums, Ioan Kaes (Death Before Disco) and Teun Van Aerschot (Generation 84, Scabby Knees) on backing vocals and Sam Bergen (Arizona) played bass. Stijn himself handled vocals and guitars. Today, Nothing Gold Can Stay shared its debut single, 'Letting You Go,' which you can check out below.
"'Letting You Go' is the calmest, most laid back song on the album and I can’t really explain 100% why exactly I picked this one as the first single, but… it just feels right," says Stijn about the choice of the first single.
