We are very happy to premiere the new video by LA punks The Last Gang for the song ‘Believe in the Poet’. The track comes off the band’s Fat Wreck debut album, ‘Keep Them Counting,’ which came out last year.

Known for their infectious energy, this LA threesome has a real knack for writing infectious riffs, bouncing basslines, huge hooks and catchy choruses that make their punk rock tunes as poppy as their ballads are punky. Think Rancid meets Distillers.

If you want to catch the band live, then you are in luck. Fresh off a tour with fellow Orange County natives Agent Orange, they are making their way over to Europe where they will be playing at Groezrock and SBÄM Festival along with club shows in Germany, Austria and The Netherlands. Full dates below.

About the song:

“’Believe in the Poet explores the reality that even though positive world change may seem hopeless for the common individual, we can never give in or stop fighting for peace and against social injustice, discrimination, and all the other evils we face today. We have to believe that our actions can spark future change and rid the world of the power-hungry political swine that currently run this country and world.

About the video:

The video, filmed and edited by our pal Billy Skelly at Kingrock Photo, documents the band over the past year of touring as we logged thousands of miles across the roads of North America to promote our new album while doing what we do to help spark change, create community and spread positivity.
