Members of the Oakland band Nopes have started a new project under the ever so slightly more positive name MEH. Whereas Nopes play the best noise punk you may have not heard yet, MEH’s sound is can be found in that sweet space between noise pop and jangly indie type rock that is drenched in feedback. Trust me, if you are a fan of Teenage Fanclub or Guided By Voices, you will want to hear this.

We are very excited to get to premiere ‘Cycles,’ the second song to be taken off the band’s upcoming album ‘Red Kit Crane and one of the album’s more energetic cuts with a fun punk/post-punk inspired sound that is pure lo-fi bliss.

When pressed to say what the song is about, Alex Petralia let us know that ‘the song is about the inability to change’. Alex would also like you to know that ‘Barry’ is the greatest show on tv right now and you should see it if you haven't.

‘Red Kit Crane’ will be out Aug 30 via Olympia, WA’s Reflective Tapes (Mess, Special Moves, DUMP HIM). You can pre-ordere HERE.
