We are excited to share Parader’s new single, ‘Save My Place’ (pre-save). It is probably the most rocking song off the band’s debut EP, ‘Something The Dreamers Dream’ and one that might appeal to fans of Jimmy Eat World, Copeland, AJR and The 1975 alike.
Composed of former members of NYC pop outfit Lion in the Mane Jon Masters, Dmitry Libman and Zach Falkow along with Broadway star Gerard Canonico, Parader is an NYC-based band that has something to say with their debut EP. They are not ready to give up on the sounds they grew up on, and they’re not giving up on the dream they’ve all been chasing, collectively and individually, for most of their lives. And new single ‘Save My Place’ ties right into that.
“‘Save My Place’ is my favorite song on the record. It’s Gerard’s first song playing on with us and I loved what he did with it,” shares lead singer/guitarist Jon Masters. ”Lyrically, I’m proud of the song because I was in a crazy place when I wrote the words. To me it’s about wondering if you could ever feel an emotion stronger than anything you’ve ever felt before. Could be good, bad, happy, sad, funny etc.... and just looking back and being happy that some of the bad is out of the way and hoping to not act that way again, but also wondering if you’d ever experience something again that could get you that worked up and emotionally involved. It’s like a hopeful and helpless call to someone to save my place for all the shenanigans I’d assume I bring to the table.”
“This song is probably one of the biggest sounding records we’ve done in terms of production” continues bassist/backing vocalist Zach Falkow. “We were super lucky to have such amazing people working on it as well, and we couldn’t be more proud of the end result. We’ve all been big fans of Acceptance for years, so to have Nick [Rad] mix it was really special for us.”
‘Something The Dreamers Dream’ will be out April 22 on Taillights Music Group, an imprint of Takeover Records (owned by Yellowcard's Ben Harper).
