Colorado Springs punk rockers The Sleights today share a brand new music video for their single 'Day In The Life,' another standout track from their upcoming album 'This One’s Gonna Hurt.' The video brings to life the band's raw energy and honest storytelling that should appeal to fans of Face To Face, The Bouncing Souls and Teenage Bottlerocket alike. 'Day In The Life' paints a vivid picture of Knob Hill, a well-worn neighborhood in Colorado Springs where a lot of bands have their practice space.
'This One’s Gonna Hurt' marks The Sleights’ second full-length album, delivering 12 tracks of guitar-driven punk rock that tap into themes of struggle, resilience, and the highs and lows of everyday life. The upcoming album also boasts the band's previous single 'Already Gone,' a collaboration with The Bombpops’ Jen Razavi that explores the heartache of a love lost before it’s even over. From the nostalgia-soaked "Bridge to Nowhere" to the relentless drive of "Day In The Life," The Sleights continue to channel their passion into every riff, every lyric, and every performance.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Felipe Patino at Green Door Recordings in Denver, 'This One’s Gonna Hurt' will be released digitally and on vinyl on Friday, April 25 via Rad Girlfriend Records and What’s Left Records. The video for "Day In The Life" is available now—turn it up, sing along, and get ready for the full album release.
