London-based punk outfit Real Authority have released a new Halloween-themed track complete with eerie B-movie music video which sees the band appear as vampires.

“I used to live in this creepy house that got no sunlight and was totally infested with spiders. At the time I was working nights so I had a pretty wild sleeping pattern," says vocalist John James Davies on the motivations behind the track. "Needless to say, after one too many nights of sleep paralysis and intense nightmares, I sat down with my guitar for five minutes and wrote Transylvanian Rock."

On the video, guitarist Johann Saul adds, “The idea was inspired by B-movie horror, old Dracula movies, The Lost Boys and Slumber Party Massacre 2 (but not 1). When we stumbled across Talliston House & Gardens the narrative really wrote itself – a man haunted by punk rock vampires in a castle. We hope you enjoy this Real Authority Halloween special!”

"As far as our material goes, it’s certainly the darkest, both aesthetically and emotionally but it's also our most grand and flamboyant. A sign of things to come, maybe…” Davies hints.

Formed in 2018 by former members of Weathered Hands, Real Authoriy released their debut EP 'True Motion' in July 2019.
