Belgium's The Sore Losers just announced their third album. They don't have a title just yet, but it will be released on March 18.
This new record marks the first collaboration between The Sore Losers and Nashville based producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with Rival Sons. The recording of the album took place in Berlin’s Vox-Ton studio. Frontman Jan Straetemans: “We knocked it out pretty fast: writing, recording live and mixing. There was just no time for doubt.
And that’s exactly the excitement Cobb’s aiming for. It’s that magic of first and second takes, which makes this record our most dangerous to date, and therefore our best yet.”
The album has a classic, analog sound that really serves the short, energetic songs, which are mainly influenced by classic acts as the MC5, Stooges and Yardbirds.
