Turnover shares the final taste of music from their forthcoming new album, 'Altogether,' in the form of new single 'Number On The Gate.' Following recent singles 'Parties,' 'Much After Feeling' and 'Plant Sugar,' the new track was one of the first songs written for the record, and finds Turnover on embracing new wave sounds, melding interlocking guitars and tumbling bass to driving rhythms that add a sense of urgency to frontman Austin Getz's lulled but infectious vocal turns.

That understated urgency is central to "Number On the Gate," a song that Getz describes as being about "the struggle between trusting people for the sake of new connections and possibilities or staying isolated because it's safer or more comfortable being trapped in a small world." He explains, "one thing I was really confronted with when moving out to California was leaving my support network and being a stranger in a new place, especially at an age when most people have their group of people that they know and feel comfortable with. Making new friends as an adult has a whole different set of things to think about than when you're young."

Altogether opens another chapter for Turnover in which the band embraced its eclectic mix of personalities. Working remotely from one another allowed renewed creative freedom for the band, inspiring full songs to come together instinctually and melding each member's influences and tastes into a cohesive sound with the help of renowned producer and engineer Will Yip (Angel Du$t, Code Orange, Turnstile). The result is a revelatory body of work that taps into each individual member's experience with change and the sense of togetherness that arose from starting all over again.
